Welcome to the website!

Our mission is to help preserve rare and heritage poultry and livestock which used to be a main staple on the farms and homesteads of the past. Our poultry is raised up and allowed to free range, giving them the ability to use their instincts and adding flavor to their meat.  We are slowly working towards a more diversified farm, which will have it's own eco-system, and sustain itself as much as possible. We are located in Jefferson Maine. The land which we bought has a wonderful stream outback that is home to many different type of fish and wildlife. We have 25 acres of mixed hard and soft wood.     The Geese in the stream outback of the house this Summer 2008

Who We Are

What We Do

We started with about 25 laying hens and a 12x10 hen house on 25 acres of thick wooded land. After 3 years of work we have expanded to about 30 laying hens including rare chicken breeds such as the Le Fleche and  Crevecoeur, heritage turkeys, Nigerian and Arapawa goats, Guinea Hogs, Indian Runner ducks, and Toulouse Geese.

My Husband, Stephen Lewis, is a self employed carpenter and I (Cynthia H. Fort-Lewis) work at the Damariscotta Vet Clinic as a Veterinary Assistant and the Damariscotta YMCA as a Pilates instructor.
